GREAT GIG AT THE
SOCCER BAR 2 WEEKS AGO. LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER ONE. DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT
SIMON, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HIS GRANDPARENTS BUSINESS, MILK ROUND AND ICECREAM
VAN. I REMEMBER THAT THE 2 BROTHERS SET UP THEIR OWN GROUP IN THE MIDDLE TO
LATE SIXTIES - EARLY 70'S
THANKS KEITH N DENISEThanks for
coming to see us. I've asked Si and will let you know. I appreciate your
support. |

like a sin to miss you lot givin it large but we Just never had the brass.

Take Care All
Chris Michelle and Jimmy of course your youngest member LOL
Hello Chris and thanks for your message. Actually I
wasn't at Birchwood yesterday having left the band. But it would've been
good to catch up! Anyway, no doubt see you as a member of the audience at a
future gig as I'm looking forward to seeing Jez and Lenny again. Al and I
are hoping to do the video for the next single on Thursday so keep an eye
out. Take care all. |

Thought you might find this amusing.....a
review from Rate Your Music....
Sometimes an album comes along completely out of the blue which appears
totally disconnected with any prevalent musical trends. By the time Pet Hate
released The Bride Wore Red the flash in the pan that was the New Wave Of
British Heavy Metal had been consigned to a very small filing cabinet in the
music archives. Traditional metal still existed but even the relatively new
purveyors like Iron Maiden had been around for a number of years. Instead,
influenced by events in the States, metal was becoming lighter and more pop
orientated. Logically it would have made sense if Pet Hate's appearance had
been timed to cash in on this move but their sound was a pale imitation of
both streams making the faith bestowed on them by their record company even
more of a mystery. Dressed like a New York Doll's tribute band and sounding
like a cross between a punk band who forgot to set their alarm clock and
missed the genre by several years and a tired glam rock outfit sounds like a
recipe for disaster and - guess what? - it most certainly is. It helps not a
jot that vocalist Alistair Terry has all the dexterity of a stuffed cat or
the rest of the band are as musically proficient as the sound of bottles
dropping into a recycling bin, but there have been plenty of bands who could
neither play or sing, yet who carved out a succesful career. So what is
totally unforgiveable is the lack of any feeling for what they're doing -
just a belief it's only for financial gain.
I'm a stuffed cat......priceless!!!
Well. What can I say? I never said we had any talent
and where the hell is the financial gain..!? I'm just off to recycle the
empty Dom Perignon bottles for inspiration. |

How does typing 'BOWIE' avoid
spam from f**kers like me! Lol! 'Ground control to Major Tom!' ;oP
Well, I'm surprised I even
remembered you had a website, never mind actually visiting it, after last
night's drunken debauchery! Haha! Well, send me your email address and I'll
'SPAM' you even more... with interesting stuff of course! Lol!
Good to see you last night and
catch up over several reebs! Deffo doing 'Space Station #5' with ya... it
rocks and is one of my all time faves....
Good luck with the album launch
and I'll be buying it off iTunes when I get back from even more drunken
debauchery in Notts tonight!
Right, need some meds and H20 to
keep this hangover at arms length! Haha! How's your head? Hope to see you
soon buddy! Paul
Good to see
you and hopefully have something saleable on iTunes. Taking so long but free
time on the horizon. Cheers bud. |

Hi mate -
see you are looking for comments re the album cover. In view of what you
have said we CAN'T comment on there doesn't seem to be a lot to say!!!!
Oh apart
from - gosh, fancy propping that obviously genuine well reliced Strat on the
tree like that. Weren't you worried that such a valuable guitar might get
damaged?
I'm not
sure what my photographer and art director will have to say about that...
Like me, the guitar is an original. |

Stuart,
Just saw you left a comment on my blog "The Hair Up There", which has both
Pet Hate records on it. First of all, I just want to say I appreciate you
not forcing me to take them down. But if you ever release them on CD and
would like me to take the links down, of course I will. To this day, "Girls
Grow Up Too Fast" is still one of my favorite songs...I can still listen to
it and get the same shivers down my spine I did the first time I heard it at
15 years old. I saw that you have a new tune availabe on ITunes, which I'll
go buy right now if its available in the ITunes US store.
Best,
Benjie Gordon
Thanks for the lovely comments. It's good that someone
has nice things to say about the band. Thanks for your efforts in promoting
the band. I genuinely appreciate it. (The single is on iTunes US store) Keep
in touch - your views are welcome. Best, Stu. |

Hey Stu, just checking your web site out after
reading about your album in last nights Mail?
Never knew you were from Greenock!
Spent all my childhood Easter holidays up there, (53 Kelly St.) my Mother's
from there!
Was up there only last month to pick one of her friends up...wot a shithole
that place has turned into!
Nice site you got here, loads of info, will leave some feedback on yer album
a little later.
I was gonna catch you's at the Kings in Barrow on the 1st but I'm doing a
Charity night now that night sorry.
Take it easy and hopefully catch yourself and Storm sometime soon. ;)
Thanks for your kind words. My Gran lived in Kelly
Street and Scotch pies from Aulds still make me salivate (my other Gran
worked there well into her 70s - she was the only one who could be bothered
to get up early enough!!) My Aunt lives round the corner. Small world.
That's why I love Barrow because it's a home from home (apart from your
"shit" comment...!) Maybe see you at Wellie if we can get a booking. |

I have just printed off Stuart in the news gonna
sent mum and dad a copy. This news is absolutely bloody brilliant I am so
chuffed for you both.
I can't wait for the album, do you have the lyrics for the single then I can
sing along with it. Then when we come to see him play live and he sings
unbreakable then I know the words. I am dead exited can't imagine how you
all feel, things are looking up for you kid.
Take care and write more songs.
Thank you Eva - what more can I say?!! |

Well done Stu, a good song well played as
usual. Video was moody but captured the feel of the song quite well. I
suppose the blustery weather helped with Olivia in video as well brought
home the essence of the lyrics.
Keep it up, I'll be your roady when you hit the big time; or make the
brews!!
Thank you and thanks for the offer - Claire's coffee
is crap! |

Hope you are all ok and keep those songs coming.

Hey Stu - well impressed by the way you were
able to respond to my comment on your website when I know for a fact you
were in a van on the way to Harrogate at the time. Have you got one of these
Blackberry thingies or are there more powerful forces at work?
Cheers, Martin
P.S. just listened to the single again - still brilliant!
Well I am so exceptionally talented of course....ok
i'm rumbled. The "more powerful force" has been at work...!! |

Great to hear the finished single - can't
believe you got that quality down in your cellar!
Video was amazing - really goes well with the song.
Just one question - was it really as miserable as it looked down there on
the quay?
Congrats to Claire as well - not just for the backing vocals but for the
whole website thing (and for putting up with you of course!)
What could you mean!?!? Thanks for your comments and
yes it was as foggy as hell, though much colder unfortunately. The guitar
went completely out of tune - good job it wasn't live sound!! |
